EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS ON RACE VEHICLE
1) NAVIGATION: We use RALLY NAVIGATOR roadbooks (left photo below), either physical (paper) or electronic (on your cell or tablet using the free RALLY NAVIGATOR ROADBOOK READER app, symbol below, far right)... or you can use both. We recommend BOTH (at least on motos) as the electronics could fail for a number of reasons (running out of charge, dropping it in the river, etc).
2) FUEL: Race vehicles MUST have a minimum fuel range of 100 km. Auxilary (and homologated) tanks are allowed. Refueling is done during the Laison Stages (designated on roadbook as 'TE') at regular fuel stations along the way (noted in the roadbook) by regular fuel station atendees (90 and 95 octane fuel available), or in the Assitance Zones (SERVICE or BIVOUAC) by the rider or team members in the designated refueling area. See photo below (center) of Race Itinerary for km ranges between re-fueling of each day (green blocks in the 6th column).
3) MASK: Your front mask (in front of your instruments on your moto or cuad) MUST be AT LEAST (above headlight) 25cm high x 30cm wide for your competition number which the organization will supply when the the vehicle passes the inicial Tech Inspection. On your SxS/UTV, the 'mask' area must be on the front hood.
4) OBLIGATOTY PROMOTER SPACE: On the race moto or cuad, on the left side of the vehicle, anywhere behind the left leg of the rider, MUST be a 15cm tall x 25cm wide space with WHITE background for the organization to place the logos of the (3) primary sponsors of the event. On all SxS/UTVs and all Team Support Vehicles, ALL SPACE on both forward doors must be left free for Event Sponsors.
